Launched in 1940, Pinocchio is a Disney classic that is still appreciated by children and adults around the world. However, the history of this wooden marionette conceals a spiritual allegory based on esoteric teachings, it is rarely discussed. We will consider the origins of this animated adventure and its underlying meaning.
I first saw Pinocchio as a kid on a bad VHS tape recorded with my little brother while eating a Fugee-O. I enjoyed the catchy tunes and Jiminy Cricket. However, I was terrified by the driver and I did not like the underwater .. That's pretty much what I remembered of this classic Disney until recently. One Sunday night, I found the film "digitally remastered" on TV and saw "for old times'. What was supposed to be a fun ride through my memory lane became a shocking revelation: Pinocchio was one of the deepest movies I've seen. Could be a great allegory of spirituality and modern society? . I detected hints of initiation into the hidden mysteries and immediately started researching the origins of Pinocchio and all my theories were confirmed.

Needless to say, this film is now a staple in popular culture today. How many people have not seen this movie? On the other hand, how many people are aware of the true underlying meaning Pinocchio? Behind the story of the puppet trying to become a good guy there is a deep spiritual history that is rooted in the mystery schools and the occult. Through the eyes of an insider, this children's story about "a good person" full of lessons about "not lying" becomes man's search for wisdom and spiritual enlightenment. The brutally honest social commentary of Pinocchio is a bleak vision of our modern world and provides, perhaps, a way to escape their traps. Through the author's background and literary references, one can understand the hidden gnostic meaning of Pinocchio.
